Do you remember what being "dead" meant?
Long ago we would be talking on the phone,
And it would seem like I couldn't say something.
You would ask why, and I would say,
I'm dead.
Do you remember what that meant?
If I were to call you, and tell you that today,
Would you know what I mean?
Would you know what I was saying?
What would that mean today?
